A little about me
My name is Vared Carmel, mother of 4 and grandmother of many grandchildren. I have taught music in kindergarten for over 30 years and since 2004 I have been teaching teachers, kindergarten teachers and anyone who wants to teach music in kindergarten.
I started teaching music in kindergarten out of love for music and out of a desire to work with preschoolers. Over the years I realized how much I influence the children and even the kindergarten staff. I realized that music is something bigger than "kindergarten", the more I delved into music, the higher I felt, the happier and as if the brain was growing rays of desire to go out and create.
As part of my academic studies, I conducted a thesis research in which I proved that activity songs help to develop creative thinking.
I set up the Daat College - integration of arts In order to pass on my knowledge to more and more teachers and kindergarteners who want more. Over the years, I meet hundreds of my kindergartners and graduates, receive feedback and understand the relevant needs.
Then the corona virus came and I realized that in order to reach you I need to put everything on the media. I sat down in front of the camera and I'm trying to convey to you my knowledge, but also the feeling and experience of engaging in music with children.
A little about the method
The Carmel method talks about five circles of ability with which we conduct ourselves in the world. Some of them are with us in strength and are considered strong and some are weak. We use our strong ability circles for success that affects all of our lives: studies, social and interpersonal relationships, careers and family life. In contrast, there is a circle that is weak for us, stops us and even harms our development in career, marital and social relations.
The circles revolve around our mental, motor, physical and artistic abilities.
The purpose of art studies is not only to impart knowledge, they are a personal process that strengthens the five circles of ability. A child studying the Carmel method will develop creative thinking, mental flexibility, know how to express the artist in him and will even use these strengths in other fields of study and in his social field.
Why did I choose to teach music and why for preschool
Music is a part of my life, strength, livelihood, creativity and happiness.
Music connects and touches all circles of ability, proper study can develop and empower the children and also you as a parent or teacher.
I chose to teach you how to teach and how to enrich the children in an experiential musical way.
Important things before starting…
The course is made up of lessons and short videos. Each video is about one of its topics.
Prepare a notebook to write down points that are important to you.
When I demonstrate the activity in the video, participate with me and demonstrate yourself. Because the activity is what will make the brain understand and the body remember the movements.
When you hear a song and feel the need to hear it again, repeat the video until you aurally and internally understand the piece of music
Before you sit down to have fun learning, prepare some aids: rhythm sticks, marques, handkerchief, bell, drum and hoop. And even if you don't have the above equipment, take spoons, a plate and a firecracker from the kitchen. These will help you to act together with me.
